Mestopore is a self-adhesive stoma
dressing for continent stomas. The stoma tissue is protected from
injuries by a non-adherent contact layer. The stoma secretion is
absorbed and retained by a highly absorbent swelling fiber matrix.
The self-adhesive border is non-irritant even with frequent
dressing changes and prevents the dressing from leaking. The
micro-porous backing material is skin colored and allows the skin
to breathe. Mestopore is specially
developed to be used on patients with continent stomas.
Mestopore is made of a laminate of
polyurethane film and a viscose nonwoven coated with a
polyacrylate adhesive. A highly absorbent pad is placed in the
center of the dressing.
